Christmas Tree Hanging Box

I found this great idea on a fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrator's blog..  "Pootles" (Christmas Tree Hanging Bag Tutorial).  She always has clever little box ideas.

This was easy to make with the new Stampin' Up! Trim the Tree Designer Series Paper Stack from the Holiday Mini Catalog (Item #135824 - 4 1/2" x 6 1/2").  You use one sheet for each box.  Simply score 1" on the long side and then score at every 1" on the other side (1, 2, 3, 4").  Hole punch the top and add ribbon and embellishments.

Technique Tuesday: Shaving Cream Technique

I remember when we did this technique at a demo meeting.  It is so messy... but also so beautiful.  If you are going to try this one, my suggestion is to make up a bunch of sheets to keep on hand for when you need a nice background for a card.

Stampin' Up! Lovely Lace Embossing Folder

I have to be honest... I never even gave this embossing folder a second look.  It's the new "Lovely Lace" embossing folder in the NEW 2015 Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog.  It wasn't until a friend of mine (Lilly Ruiz) shared this card with me that I realized how pretty it is.  And what about that Mossy Meadow in-color card stock and ribbon... so gorgeous and yet simple.  I hope this inspires you.

Throwback Thursday: Stationery Kit

I went deep into the archives for this little beauty.  I remember when all the Stampin' Up! Demonstrators were making these little stationery kits for their class projects.  If you haven't seen this yet or haven't seen it in a while... basically it's one sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 card stock folded in half (5 1/2) and then you fold the bottom up about 1 1/2" to create the pocket for the greeting cards.  Small slit in the middle helps to fold nicely.  I used mini cards for this set.
