Mini Gift Bags from Envelopes

Getting ready for my stamping class on June 12.  All the lucky ladies will get one of these mini gift bags.  I made these little bags using a regular sized envelope (see instructions below).

I used regular sized colored envelopes I purchased at Staples. Seal the envelopes.

Score at 3/4" on 3 sides only.  Cut off 1/4" on one side and that will be your opening (short side).

Use your bone folder to make nice creases on your score lines.  Open up and start to mold your bag.

Stampin' Up! Build a Birthday

Got together with some friends last week to stamp.  I made this Gift Card Holder for my project.  It was fun to use the new Stampin' Up! In-Colors.

Card stock:  4 1/4" x 11"
Score at 4 1/2" and 9 5/8" (9 1/2" + 2 lines)

Technique Tuesday: Faux Alligator

Today's Tuesday Technique is "Faux Alligator".   I love pulling out these old technique sheets.  This technique reminds me of a man's wallet or boots.  This would be a cute technique for a "masculine" card.  Pretty cool.

Stampin' Up! Strawberry Slush Designer Series Paper: Stampin with Scraps

I made this quick birthday card using scraps from the Stampin' Up! Strawberry Slush DSP Paper Pack and the medium oval punch.  This card would work with any DSP paper pattern.

Throwback Thursday: Father's Day Bow Tie

I came across this adorable card and it reminded me of Father's Day.  This cute throwback is courtesy of Laura Davis.

Stampin' Up! Color Combo Challenge #10: Rose Red, So Saffron, Wild Wasabi

It's always good to challenge yourself and try and combine colors that you wouldn't normally put together.  Usually when you pair the right combos together, it just seems to take shape.  I used Stampin' Up! Flowering Flourishes with Wild Wasabi and then stamped the flowers in Rose Red separately and cut them out.  I used the new Banner Triple Punch to make the banner below.
