With Sympathy Watercolor

I sort of made up this card as I went along.  First I used the marker direct to stamp technique and stamped the image on white card stock.  But it needed something else so I colored the image with markers directly on the rubber stamp again, but before stamping on the paper again, I spritzed some water.  Then I just outlined the images randomly with a black fine marker.

Beautiful in Black & White

Black and White is probably my most favorite color combo.  This is true when it comes to stamping and even with my wardrobe.  This butterfly is "Beautiful in Black & White".

Ode To St. Patty's Day

Ode to St. Patty's Day card.  Had fun throwing together this quick 4 x 4 card to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. I used the mini heart from the Itty Bitty Accents Punches to create the clovers and the Bird Builder punch for the stem.

Rose Garden Puzzle

I'm calling this the "Rose Wonder Puzzle" card since it is like a puzzle when you put the pieces together.  I believe the official technique name is "stained glass".  I used So Saffron and Hello Honey card stock on the rose and Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive card stock on the leaves.

Washi Tape Gold Rush

I know many of you work with washi tape all the time, but I was never a big fan.  Until recently that is... it is now my new obsession.  I'm calling this the Washi Tape Gold Rush.

It's hard to photograph gold paper. The photos do not do these cards justice... they are so pretty in person.

Chipboard Magnetic Photo Frame

Let's kick off the week with a creative 3D item I made this weekend.  I found some wonderful Chipboard Coasters and decided to create a fun photo magnet with my son's recent school photo.

I glued 2 chipboard coasters together to create a pocket on the inside.  I did this by putting a strip of red stick tape on the left, right and bottom pieces only.  The pocket makes makes it easy to slide the photo in and out.

I used Oval Framelits to cut out the oval for the photo.  It's easier if you cut the oval with the chipboard coaster and designer series paper together at the same time so they line up.

I layered 2 different sizes of the Oval Framelits to create the black frame around the photo opening.

I
I used a piece of magnetic strip for the back of the chipboard.  This strip was from an old box of "Magnetic Business Cards".

Rose Garden Thinlit: Blurred Vision Technique

I came up with this "blurred vision" look totally by accident.  I was cutting out a bunch of roses and leaves in different card stock colors and I noticed the way some of the colors looked on top of each other...  a blurred effect so I came up with this card.

Stampin With Scraps: Wildly Flowering DSP

Don't throw away those scraps. A scrap here and there and you have a beautiful card. I used the scraps from Wildly Flowering Designer Se...
