Happy Birthday with Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper

I can't get enough of the Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper. Decorate your projects with this beautiful DSP.  With a range of delicate floral designs and neutral simple patterns, the Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper pack is a perfect choice for spring projects, weddings, Easter, birthdays and much more.

I used Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper for the front of this card.  I layered the DSP on top of the Soft Succulent Cardstock card base and cut them both together using the hexagon die from the Beautiful Designs Die.  Then I used the larger hexagon on the DSP only so it creates a border

Card Details:
  • Soft Succulent Cardstock card base:  5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4"
  • Hand-Penned DSP:  5 1/4" x 4"
  • White Cardstock inside:  5 1/4" x 4"
  • The "Happy Birthday" sentiment from the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set - I stamped the greeting in Soft Succulent Ink

Flowing Flowers Garden Green Thank You Card

There are so many wonderful new products from the Stampin' Up! Jan-March Mini Catalog but the Flowing Flowers Stamp Set has become one of my favorites.  For today's Thank You card, I cut out a piece of White Cardstock with the Scalloped Contour Die and stamped the flower and the greeting in Garden Green Ink.  I layered the flower against a piece of Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper and added a piece of Vellum Cardstock to soften things up.

The Golf Fine Art Ribbon and Champaign Rhinestone Basic Jewels add a little gold sparkle and shine.

Card Details:
  • Garden Green Cardstock card base:  5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
  • Hand-Penned DSP:  5 1/4" x 4"
  • Vellum Cardstock:  4 1/4" x 3"
  • White Cardstock cut with Scalloped Contour Die:  approximately 3 3/4" x 2 1/2"

Beautiful Shapes Dies with Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper

Have you seen the Beautiful Shapes Dies in the Jan-Mar Mini Catalog?  Well I am in love...  The basic shapes included can be used to cut out circles, hexagons, parallelograms, and triangles.  Create card front layers from cardstock or pattern paper.  Dies can also be used to create die-cut paper embellishments.

I used the dies with Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper to create this pretty hexagon card.  I cut out one hexagon with White Cardstock and then embossed it with Pretty Flowers 3D Embossing Folder.

Card Details:
  • White Cardstock card base:  5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
  • White Cardstock layer:  5 1/4" x 4"
  • Hand-Penned DSP:  cut out 6 hexagon pieces
  • The "feel better friend" sentiment is from the Hand-Penned Stamp Set
  • I cut out the hexagon from the White Cardstock layer and then I stamped the greeting on the card base

Happy Birthday with Butterflies & Flowers Decorative Masks

This Happy Birthday card features the new Butterflies & Flowers Decorative Masks from the Jan-June Mini Catalog.  These stencils are an easy way to blend colors and create beautiful backgrounds.  The images really pop whey you layer the detailed masks and create dimension with different ink colors.  These masks have butterflies and flowers some large and some smaller for fantastic backgrounds.

Card Details:
  • Smoky Slate Cardstock card base:  5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
  • Highland Heather Cardstock layer:  4 1/2" x 3 3/4"
  • White Cardstock layer:  4 1/4" x 3 1/2"
  • I used the Stampin' Up! Blending Brushes with Highland Heather Ink for the first layer on the larger butterfly image.  Then I layered the more detailed butterfly stencil and used Gorgeous Grape Ink.  For the corner flowers, I used Smoky Slate Ink
  • The "Happy Birthday" sentiment from the Artistically Inked Stamp Set is stamped on Black Cardstock with Versamark Ink and embossed with White Embossing Powder
