Throwback Thursday: Stipple Butterfly with Hershey Kisses Wrapper

This was a card I made at a stamping class many years ago.  We used the Stampin' Up! Stipple Butterfly stamp set and Hershey Kisses wrappers.  Yes, the little foil wrappers around kisses make up the butterfly colors.  We stamped the butterfly on transparency paper using Stazon Ink, we put Crystal Effects on the reverse side of the transparency paper and layered with colored Hershey Kisses wrappers staying within the outside line of the butterfly.  Let it dry and WOW!

Lilly's 60th Birthday

This past Sunday my girlfriend Lilly Ruiz had a brunch to celebrate her 60th Birthday!  She made all the centerpieces and favors.  The theme was "Orange and Yellow".  She has such great ideas!!  As you can see, she is very talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.

Technique Tuesday: Faux Corduroy

I know it's hard to see this on the screen... but if you see the sample below... it really does look like "corduroy".  Amazing!!

Stampin' Up! Class Projects: Black & White June Class

For June I decided to do something a little different for my class theme so I had a "Black & White" class.  Every card we made had the black and white theme.

Stamping with Scraps: Strawberry Slush

Love, Love, Love the way this card turned out.  I cut out the flower using the Floral Frames Framelits and then I used scraps to make the center flower.  I used the same technique as the "Sunburst Technique".

Stampin' Up! Eastern Elegance - Coastal Cabana Card

Throwback Thursdays: Father's Day Vest Cards

Today's Throwback Thursday idea is a "Father's Day Vest Card".  These are 2 different samples I made over the years.  These are really simple to make, if you look at each one, you can see its basically a folder card and the Fishing vest has slits on the sides and in the middle, which can be done with a punch and the same goes for the argyle vest card.. circle punch on the sides and a slit V down the front middle.
