Throwback Thursday: Greeting Card Box Set

Today's Throwback sample is a Greeting Card Box Set.  Not sure if you can tell, but there is a clear box in the background and inside were the 3 cards with matching envelopes.  This Stampin' Up! DSP is retired and so is the stamp set, but it can easily be replicated using any of the new DSP paper and the new flowers Stampin' Up! offers in their new catalog.  Makes a great teacher gift.

Stamping With Scraps: Flower Shop & Watercolor Wonder

So by now you can guess that I love this stamp set... Stampin' Up! Flower Shop.  And it works so nicely with Watercolor Wonder DSP.  I took a few DSP strips, a pretty flower and like that I have a beautiful card.

Technique Tuesday: Emboss Resist Technique

This is an old but goodie technique:  Emboss Resist.  I think this is one of the very first techniques I learned how to make when I became a demonstrator.  It's still really pretty.

Color Combo Challenge: Happy Watercolor

Today's color combo challenge is with Night of Navy, Rich Razzleberry and Smoky Slate.  I used an Aqua Pen to color in the flower.  I used a marker and an old toothbrush to make the splatter effect.  I think it gives a nice dimension to the card.

Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper Organizing

Today I am excited to share an organizing and helpful tip that I use for my Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper (DSP).  I love using DSP paper for my cards and projects, but sometimes I forget what colors coordinate with each DSP paper pack.  So then I have to stop what I am doing and look it up in my Stamp' Up! catalog.  So I thought about it and I created these color sheets.

On each sheet I have 2 DSP packs listed and it shows that picture of the DSP paper, the DSP name, i.e. "Park Lane", the item number and I also have photos of the coordinating card stock colors.  I cut the sheets in half and trimmed them to 5x7 and laminated them (see below).

Then I stuck the cards inside the DSP pack so when I go use that paper, I have my handy card which shows the coordinating card stock colors.  This is a great reference tool.  You can download your own PDF file and create your own cards (see below).  Hope this inspires you!

Throwback Thursday: Flower Shaped Wood Frames

I purchased these little frames a while ago from Michael's and I decoupaged using Stampin' Up! DSP.  This is a cute and simple project that never gets old.

Simple Stamping & Casing

Sometimes it's just fun searching and casing cards on-line.  I like to play or add my own special touch. These are some of the cards and embellishments I have been playing around with lately.  Hope these inspire you.
