Stampin' Up! Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper

Today I am sharing two pretty cards using the Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper from the 2021 Sampin' Up! Spring Mini Catalog.  The Thank You and Happy Birthday sentiments are both from the Happy Thoughts Stamp Set.

Details:
  • White Cardstock card base:  5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
  • Highland Heather Cardstock:  4 3/4" x 3 1/2"
  • Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper:  4 1/2" x 3 1/4"
  • Happy Birthday sentiment from Happy Thoughts Stamp Set is stamped in Gorgeous Grape Ink

Details:
  • White Cardstock card base:  4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2"
  • Highland Heather Cardstock:  5 1/4" x 4"
  • Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper:  3 3/4" x 4" - cut on an angle (see sample Below) - DSP pieces are popped up on the Highland Heather Cardstock
  • Thank You sentiment from Happy Thoughts Stamp Set stamped in Gorgeous Grape Ink

Details on Angle Card:  I cut this piece of Highland Heather Cardstock to show how I cut the Hydrangea Hill DSP.  The cardstock piece measures 3 3/4" x 4".  For this card, your 4" side should be at the top of your trimmer.  Make your first cut an angle.. leave about 1" wide space and make your next cut on an angle.  Practice on scrap paper.  It is very easy once you get the hang of it.

Organize It Friday - Tip #2: Cardstock Cards & Layers

I make a lot of cards, so to stay organized and efficient I like to have a selection of card bases and layers ready to go.  This saves on time consuming cutting and folding.  I use a lot of white cardstock for my card base and layering so I have all the pieces separated in a drawer by my craft desk for easy access...  My tabs are NOTECARDS, HORIZONTAL, PORTRAIT, LAYER, INSIDE, EMBOSSED and CLEAR.

Details:
  • Horizontal:  pre-cut and scored horizontal card base (100 lb):  8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
  • Portrait:  pre-cut and scored portrait card base (100 lb):  4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2"
  • Layer:  pre-cut white cardstock layer (80 lb):  5 1/4" x 4"
  • Inside:  pre-cut thinner white cardstock (60 lb) for the inside of the card if I used a colored cardstock card base:  5 1/4" x 4"
  • Notecards:  pre-printed with my name and stamped in different colors (Beautiful Friendship Stamp Set) - great for quick  customer notes - 5 1/4" x 4"
  • Embossed:  pre-embossed layers - 5 1/4" x 4"
  • Plastic:  clear envelopes for card swaps

Stampin With Scraps: Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper

I made this card using Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper scraps.  The paper is so pretty with all the different bright colors...it reminds me of Spring.   I layered the squares in Pacific Point Cardstock to make the DSP pop.  You can get this paper and coordinating Berry Blessing Stamp Set for FREE during Sale-A-Bration.

  • Pacific Point Cardstock:  5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
  • White Cardstock layer:  5 1/4" x 4"
  • Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper squares: 2" x 2"
