Craft Room Goodies

I'm planning to give everyone a tour of my craftroom soon.  Hopefully you will be inspired by what you see.  These are Stampin' Up! blocks that are displayed in my craftroom.  More to come...

More Negative Space Fun

I loved the first Negative Space card so much that I could not stop.  This card looks so nice... it works with any of the different colors of DSP.  Good way to use up your Stampin' Up! DSP

So Saffron, Perfect Plum, Marina Mist, Certain Celery

Hershey NuggetsTreat

I used the Two Tag Die Cut to make this cute Hershey Nugget treat as one of my projects for my July stamping class.  Two Hershey Nuggests fit very nicely in side.

Friday Featured Product

Simply Pressed Clay & Buttons and Blossoms Clay Molds

Simply pressed clay & buttons and blossoms clay mold is today's featured product from the NEW 2013-2014 Stampin' Up! catalog.  What a great way to embellish and color coordinate your projects.  You can make any color button... how cool!

DIRECTIONS & TIPS:

  • You can add color by kneading ink into it (be sure to wear gloves.)
  • After it is dry you can color it with markers, spray it with reinker using a Stampin’ Spritzer, or you can add some shimmer by spraying it with Smooch Spritz.
  • When using the Stampin’ Spritzer, please note the depending on how much ink to water/alcohol you have will determine the hue of the color.
  • For stronger, bolder colors use more reinker, and for softer, subtler colors use less reinker.
  • The clay embellishments can air dry and can be handled delicately within five minutes. The embellishment will be fully dry in thirty minutes. You can pop them into the freezer to speed up drying but please don’t put in oven; this will melt your molds.
  • To use the molds press a small amount of clay into the desired shape.
  • For the more delicate designs allow the clay to dry for a few minutes before trying to remove the embellishment.
  • You can create some fun accessories by taking advantage of the pliability of the clay before it’s dry by poking a hole in the top to create a charm.

Update on The Stampin' Up! Magnetic Platform

UPDATE ON THE STAMPIN' UP! MAGNETIC PLATFORM: As many of you know, the response to the Stampin' Up! Magnetic Platform for the Big Shot has been ENORMOUS. Stampin' Up! went through what they thought would be a 13 week supply in just 3 weeks. Due to the backorder situation, the Magnetic Platform will not be available to purchase as of July 18 (12:01 a.m. MT). The Stampin' Up! supplier is working at capacity to meet the demand. It is expected that the platform will be available again in early fall.

If you have already placed your order for the Magnetic Platform or place an order before July 18, Stampin' Up! will attempt to fill your order with periodic shipments that are still arriving. Orders are being filled in the order that they are received.

July Stamping Class Projects

Here is a look at all the projects together from my July class.  I love the way everything turned out.  Especially the  lotion/shampoo holder with matching card.  Mini shampoo and lotion bottles are from the Marriott hotels.  Every time I travel I take some home.

Used the Stampin' Up! Box #2 Die Cut to make the base of the lotion holder.  The piece of cardstock inside the box I used as backing is 10.5 x 3.75 sheet...  score at 2, 4, 5.5.  (So Saffron, Marina Mist)

First try at a "Negative Space" card.  Love the concept...  Also tried it with the next two Butterfly Cards.
(So Saffron, Early Espresso)

(Island Indigo)

Stamping Class Giveawy

Made these adorable class giveaways for the girls.  I used the Circle Scallop Die in Tangerine Tango and then used the Clear Circle die for the DSP cardstock layer.  Fold up, stable and hide the staple with a bow.

It's a great way to get rid of your retired DSP and make your class attendees happy!
