Stamping Class Giveaways

What better combination could there be besides stamping and chocolate.  These are some free giveaways to the girls coming to my next stamping class.  I made these with the Stampin' Up! Pillow Box Die Cut and used clear transparency paper.

Throw Back Thursday - Valentine Heart Pouch

This project was made before Stampin' Up! had the Heart framelits.  It would have been a lot easier to make with framelits.  I remember I had to find a heart template and cut out the heart on the fold and then play with it to make this work.  It was a little cumbersome to make, but cute.  Fill the pouch with chocolate kisses and it's a perfect valentine project.

Technique Tuesday - Patina

This Tuesday's 6x6 technique is the Patina Technique.  Whenever I see a technique like this I think to myself... who comes up with this stuff?  But I am so glad someone did.  How cute is that bird!!

Another Sneak Peak...

Another sneak peak at one of the projects for my January stamping class.

Throw Back Thursday - Half Circle Box

It's amazing how "what's old is new again".  I often rotate the projects displayed in my craft room to make room for new ideas.  I store my old projects in Rubbermaid bins... I can't part with them.  I came across several bins full of old projects from past meetings and classes and I found them so inspiring even after all this time.

So I decided to start "Throw Back Thursdays".  Every Thursday I will feature a project from the past.  As you can see with this box... the Stampin' Up! DSP paper and the stamp set are retired, but this box can easily be replicated with current Stampin' Up! products.  And now we have so many new embellishments... I would have definitely added more bling to this one!  Hope this inspires you!

Greeting Card Organizer

This is how I organize my greeting cards.  I have tons of cards on display in my craft room, but these are different.  These are the card I to send to people.  Every time I do a class or join a swap I always seem to have an extra cards leftover so I put it in my card organizer.  Now when I need a card for a birthday, anniversary or sympathy, I go right to my card file.

I have the box organized by categories to make it easier.... Female, Male, Mother, Anniversary, etc.  I also have a section in the back called "Pieces".  This is where I store extra pieces from cards I made.  Let's say you need an anniversary card but don't see one you like.. I can go into my pieces file and find a flower left over from a swap.  I layer it, put it on card stock, add greeting and WALLA! an Anniversary card.

Technique Tuesday - Bandana

This week's technique is the Bandana Technique.  What's great about these 6x6 techniques is that even if the stamp set is retired, you can still replicate with any current Stampin' Up! stamp set.

Note Cube Template

Below is the template for the Note / Post-It Note Cube I posted yesterday.  It's a cute and simple pattern that can work with any Stampin' Up! card stock or DSP.  Enjoy.

Playing around...

I found the template to this adorable little note holder in my papers.  I can't even remember where I got it or when... I've been meaning to try it and started playing around. I think it came out very cute and it was simple to make.  I will post directions tomorrow for anyone who wants to try it.

Demo Meeting Projects

A closer look at one of the projects from my Demo Meeting.  I believe this card is called a "3D Shadow Box Frame Card".  A little tricky to make, but well worth it when you see the end product!

Technique Tuesday - Mulberry Batik

Every Tuesday I am showcasing a 6x6 technique from my library.  This week's 6x6 technique is Mulberry Batik.  Subtle and beautiful... this would make for a great background on a card.

More Inspiration...

More inspiring ideas from my craft room.  This was an old project, but it can easily be replicated using current and new Stampin' Up! products.  Great for a centerpiece at a party.

Inspiration...

Recently I've been cleaning and reorganizing my craft room and every time I do this... I come across things that are just so pretty and inspire me for future projects.  Like this simple bag made out of Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper... so beautiful and simple.  This paper may no longer be available, but the project can easily be replicated with any new Stampin' Up! DSP and any color ribbon or flower.  I hope this has inspired you also.

January Stamping Class... sneak peak

I'm getting all my projects ready for my January 24 stamping class...  This is a sneak peak at one of the cards the girls will be making...

Technique Tuesday - Water Colored Rose

Recently I was cleaning out my craft room and came across some 6x6 Technique Books.  A group of us used to swap 6x6 technique swaps every month at our meetings.  It was so exciting to see what everyone came up with each month.

As I was looking at these pages, I was so impressed with the work we did so I thought it would be a great idea to post a new technique page every week.  The first technique showcased below is the Water Colored Rose Technique.

Demo Meeting Projects... a closer look

Below are more photos showing the projects from my last demo meeting.  The Hershey bar wrapper, the mini folder and the valentine box were all made using the Stampin' Up! Envelope Maker... it's amazing.

Demo Meeting Projects

Demo meeting projects..  We really didn't have any planned projects for our January Demo Meeting so we played and tried things we saw on various blogs. We mostly played with the new Stampin' Up! Envelope Maker... we made the pink box, the mini Hershey wrapper and the mini file folder.

More photos and details coming.

Special Christmas Treats

My fellow Demo friend Sandy Silberquit made these adorable Christmas treats.  What a great idea...  Yummy!
