Happy Birthday Card and Gift Bag

Sharing a Happy Birthday card and gift bag I made for a friend's birthday.  I used the Dressed to Impress Stamp Set for the card... who doesn't love perfume and flowers.  I didn't have a gift bag handy so I made this bag using a large white envelope.

Details:
  • Pool Party Cardstock card base:  4 1/4" x 11", score at 5 1/2"
  • Pool Party Cardstock layer:  5" x 3 3/4", embossed with Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder
  • Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Art Gallery Stamp Set

Details:

  • I started with a 9" x 12" Large White Envelope from Staples (this will work with any manila mailing envelope)
  • Score 1 1/2" on each side and 2" from the bottom
  • Cut up the score lines on the bottom flaps - cut up to the score line as shown
  • Trim off the top flap of your envelope (the part you would seal)
  • Trim off 1/4" off the bottom - makes it easier to assemble bag bottom
  • Open up the envelope and fold the flaps on the bottom and glue
  • Cover the front with Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper or any Stampin' Up! DSP
  • Add ribbon for handles - I added cardstock to the top to make it sturdy when adding ribbon
