I call this the "Shabby Sheak Ornament" because it's made out of a bar coaster. It's just like chipboard. I covered the coaster with Stampin' Up! Christmas themed DSP paper and then I ran it through the big shot. I cut out little triangles for the trees and embellished a little. I like to add the year so I can look back and remember what my boys looked like that year. I try to make one of these every Christmas using various shapes and designer paper. It's also a fun project top make with kids.
I saw a card on Pinterest that inspired my design on this card, but I wanted to change it up with different colors. The Island Indigo, Pool Party and Pistachio Pudding combo make a nice team.
Today's Throwback project is a Hershey Nugget Gift Boxs. I purchased these tins on-line and they were perfect for holding nuggets. I decorated with the brown wrapping paper from Stampin' Up! And I stamped white address labels with snowflakes using Chocolate Chip and Soft Sky ink and wrapped the nuggets. Makes for a great gift for a party hostess.
I made this card for a class, but I'm thinking it would be great for a sweet 16 birthday card and of course a wedding card.
I made the cake by cutting a piece of white card stock, can't remember the exact size, but 5 x 3 3/4 should be good. I ran the sheet through an embossing folder. Then I cut 3 strips of paper and then I cut them in stacks, rounded the corners. The bottom part of the cake I used the Stampin' Up! Scallop Trim Border Punch.
