Tips & Tricks: Lining Up Your Greetings
I always stamp my projects on my Stampin' Up! Grid Paper. I like testing out my stamping before I commit to my project and I also like writing down notes as I go along. But in case you didn't realize this, it's also a great way to make sure you always get your greetings straight. If you line up the bottom of your card to the line on the grid paper, you will keep your card straight and it is much easier to line up your greeting. Of course, this works better with Polymer and Clear stamps. If you use wood mount, you would line up the edge of your wood to the line.
Throwback Thursday: Iris Folding Card
This card is a throwback to a technique swap I participated in many years ago. This is the "Iris Folding" technique. If you google Iris Folding, you will get tons of templates and ideas to make different patterns. I had forgotten how pretty this technique was... boy this paper is from Stampin' Up! 2005 or earlier.
Stampin' Up! Floral Wings Hostess Set: Blackberry Bliss and Tip Toe Taupe
This stamp set has become my latest favorite. If you've been on my blog lately, you know I've made a variation of this card using red and black, black and yellow and now Tip Toe Taupe with Blackberry Bliss. It's a little tricky lining up the roses and the stems on the butterfly, but even if it's a little off, it still look s amazing.
Stampin' Up! Garden in Bloom
The Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack used on this card is retired, but I love it. I used Blackberry Bliss on the flower and stamped off for the 2-step process so the flower would not come out too dark. The leaves were stamped in Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive. The banner was made using my favorite new Banner Punch.
