Saying Good By to "Beautiful Friendship" Stamp Set

As much as I am happy to see the NEW Stampin' Up! 2021 Annual Catalog, it's always sad to see your favorite stamp sets retire.  Today I am showcasing the Beautiful Friendship Stamp Set.  This stamp set is on the Last Chance List...  get it before it's gone.

Stampin With Scraps - Edges: True Love Designer Series Paper

So if you subscribe to my blog, you know I love making cards with scraps.. I call the series "Stampin With Scraps".  The True Love Designer Series Paper has some amazing floral designs where you can cut out the flowers and color them in.  But, some times you are left with scraps where the flowers are cut of on the edge of the paper (see below).  So of course I can't throw them out... I used those edge pieces to make this 4 1/2" X 4 1/2" square card.

Details
  • Flowers were colored in using the Light Night of Navy Blend and the Light Old Olive Blend
  • White Cardstock card base:  4 1/2" x 9", scored at 4 1/2"
  • Old Olive Cardstock layer:  4 1/4" x 4 1/4"
  • White Cardstock layer:  4 1/8" x 4 1/8" - Flowers from the True Love DSP were popped up on the square for dimension
  • Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Art Gallery Stamp Set

Black & White With a Little Melon Mambo...

I am calling today's card "Black & White With a Little Melon Mambo".  Just that little bit of color adds dimension to this black & white birthday card.  I used the Painted Poppies Stamp Set for the flowers and the Itty Bitty Birthdays Stamp Set for the 'Birthday Wishes' sentiment.

Details

  • Black Cardstock card base:  5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
  • White Cardstock layer:  5 1/4" x 4", embossed with Tasteful Textiles 3D Embossing Folder
  • White Cardstock layer stamped with poppies:  3 1/8" x 2"
  • Black Cardstock layer:  3 1/4" x 2 1/8"
  • Melon Mambo Cardstock:  3/4" wide - punched with Banner Triple Punch
  • I lightly colored around the flower and the leaf from the Painted Poppies Stamp Set using the Light Smoky Slate Stampin' Blend

Organize It Friday - Tip #8: Punch Storage

Today's post shows how I organize and store my Stampin' Up! Punches.  I prefer seeing my punches and keeping them handy so I use Pot Hangers I purchased from Ikea to hang the punches.

You can probably also find something similar on Amazon (see photos below).
