Craft Room Inspiration: Christmas Samples Part I

I find lots of inspiration in my own craft room and every once in a while I love to post pictures to inspire everyone else.  Recently I removed and packed away all my card swaps and class projects and updated everything with Christmas themed cards and swaps.  Enjoy the tour and I hope this inspires you!

My craft room is my garage and I share the room with a refrigerator and stand up freezer.  So why not decorate them and make them part of the craft room!

These are the many projects and swaps from meetings and classes...  lots of goodies!

Throwback Thursday: Top Note Penguin Christmas Tags

This was a WOW swap I made for a stamping meeting a few years ago.  I made Christmas tags using the Top Note Die Cut and made a box with a clear cover to hold them.  The penguin was made with the Owl Punch.

Monthly Stampin' Up! Classes

I've been hosting monthly Stampin' Up! classes for over 10 years.  I started with classes at work in a conference room after work with 6-7 girls and then it just got to be too much for me to lug everything back and forth to work.  And I would feel so bad if I forgot something.  So 4 years ago I moved my stamping classes to my home studio and it's been wonderful.  I can't believe it's been 4 years already.  It was my first class at my house so I wanted it to be special.  I made these cute water bottle covers for everyone and with every class since, I usually give out a free gift and a special treat.

Technique Tuesday: Flower Soft on Images

Flower Soft was one of those real "trendy" items that crafters started using, but then it sort of died down.  It would great with this flower set and makes for an interesting technique.

Shabby Sheak Ornament

I call this the "Shabby Sheak Ornament" because it's made out of a bar coaster.  It's just like chipboard.  I covered the coaster with Stampin' Up! Christmas themed DSP paper and then I ran it through the big shot.  I cut out little triangles for the trees and embellished a little.  I like to add the year so I can look back and remember what my boys looked like that year.  I try to make one of these every Christmas using various shapes and designer paper.  It's also a fun project top make with kids.

Hope you are inspired!

Color Combo Challenge: Flower Shop

I saw a card on Pinterest that inspired my design on this card, but I wanted to change it up with different colors.  The Island Indigo, Pool Party and Pistachio Pudding combo make a nice team.
