Organize It Friday - Tip #1: Stampin' Up! Clear Stamp Cases

 

I pride myself on being super organized, so I have decided to share with all of you and start a new weekly blog post... "Organize It Friday".  

You know those times you cut out a flower or greeting, but then the color doesn't work with the card you are making?  What do you do with that piece, you can't throw it away and if you throw it in a drawer will never find that piece again.  I store those paper pieces and my embellishments in Stampin' Up! Clear Stamp Cases.  I have cases for my pearls, rhinestones, butterflies, sunflowers, ferns, etc.  

As you can see by the labels...I have cases for multiple uses... even for gift cards in case I need one in a pinch.  I used colored manila folders for the side panels to make the clear cases look pretty and match the colors in my craftroom.

This past year was like no other.  Many of us have been staying home  and missing our typical interaction with friends and family.  I have been making a lot of cards to send to friends and loved ones to let them know I am thinking of them.  Such a small gesture can send so much joy to someone, especially those who are isolated or alone.

So in the spirit of sending a little joy, today I would like to introduce my Blog Hop One-For-One Card Swap (send a card, receive a card).  If you have never participated in a card swap, now is your chance.  You don't have to make ten cards or five cards - just make one card and mail it to me and in return, you will soon receive another card in the mail from me.  It might be my card or a card from someone else who is participating in the swap.  I will post all the cards I receive so everyone can enjoy the ideas.

Here's how it works:

• You mail me a hand made card (standard size 5 1/2" x 4 1/4") designed by you.  Full card, no card fronts
• Please make every effort to use only current Stampin' Up! Catalog items - let's see your best work
• Include a self-addressed stamped envelope with your card (fold an envelope in half and include with your card)
• Don't write on the inside of the card so the recipient can use it

Berry Delightful Designer Series Mini Picnic Basket

How adorable are these mini baskets.  The patterns and colors remind me of a picnic baskets...so I am calling them mini picnic baskets.  I used the Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper for the box base, handle and I even fussy cut the strawberries from the DSP.  The dimensions are below.

Mini Picnic Basket Dimensions

• Basket Box base:  3" x 3 1/4", scored on 1" on all 4 sides - cut up on the score lines as shown
• Berry Delightful DSP:  3/4" x 5 1/4" - wrap around the box base
• Berry Delightful DSP handle:  1/2" x 3 1/2"

 

Stampin With Scraps: True Love Designer Series Paper

I love the new True Love Designer Series Paper from the new Stampin' Up! 2021 Spring Mini Catalog.  I was working on the card on the left, making it with DSP strips measuring 1" x 4" but then I decided the strips were too long, so I cut off an inch from the bottom.. and of course I couldn't throw the scrap away, so then I made the card on the right.

Black Cardstock:  5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"

White Cardstock:  4 1/2" x  3 1/8"

True Love DSP strips:  1" x 3"

White Cardstock:  4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2"

True Love DSP strips:  1" x 1" squares (this was the trimmed off piece from the previous card above)

 

Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper Thank You

I cut out the strawberry from the Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper which you can earn for FREE during Sale-A-Bration.  The strawberry looks great on the stitched square with a touch of black and white from the True Love Designer Series Paper.

• Blackberry Bliss Cardstock card base:  4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2"
• Rich Razzleberry Cardstock layer:  4" x 5 1/4" - background stamped with Sweet Strawberry Blackberry Bliss ink
• True Love Designer Series Paper:  1" x 4" and punched with Banner Triple Punch on one end
